Person Struck by Train Between Lincoln and Barnetby, Lines Closed

A person has been struck by a train on the line between Lincoln and Barnetby, causing major disruption to services in the area.

All lines between the two stations are currently closed while emergency services manage the incident. Trains operating between Lincoln and Cleethorpes may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, or subject to revised schedules.

Emergency responders remain on site, and disruption is expected to continue for the remainder of the day.

East Midlands Railway has advised passengers to continue with their journeys as planned but warned that travel may be delayed by up to an hour between Lincoln and Grimsby Town. The operator is also arranging alternative road transport to help passengers reach their destinations this evening.
