British Transport Police have issued an image of a man they are seeking to identify as part of an investigation into an incident at Leicester railway station.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Thursday 13 November, when a man was reported to have fallen ill on a staircase within the station. During the encounter, he is alleged to have produced a knife from his clothing.

Station staff intervened and were able to remove the knife before the man left the station. No further details have been released about any injuries.

Officers believe the man pictured may be able to help with their enquiries and are appealing for assistance from the public to identify him.
