Police release image after staff member assaulted at Gloucester station
British Transport Police have released an image of a man they want to identify after a member of railway staff was assaulted during a ticket dispute at Gloucester station.
The incident occurred shortly before 11am on Sunday 26 October, when staff at the gate line challenged a passenger who was travelling on a child ticket. During the exchange, the man reportedly punched a member of staff in the face before grabbing the bodyworn video camera of another employee who was recording the incident. He then left the station.
Officers believe the man pictured may have information that could assist their investigation.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 206 of 26 October. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
