Witness appeal after woman choked on Dalmuir to Larkhall train

British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted on a train travelling between Dalmuir and Larkhall.

The incident happened at around 7.15pm on Monday 3 November, when a man reportedly attempted to choke a woman while on board the service. He left the train shortly afterwards at Blantyre railway station.

A man in his 30s was later arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.

Officers are urging anyone who saw what happened to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 629 of 3 November. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
