Signal fault at Rochdale triggers delays and cancellations across all lines

A fault with the signalling system at Rochdale is restricting the number of trains able to operate, leading to disruption across all lines through the station.

Services running to, from and via Rochdale are being impacted, with some trains cancelled, others revised, and delays of up to 20 minutes being reported.

Engineers from Network Rail are currently on site working to resolve the issue and restore normal service levels.

Passengers are being advised that disruption is expected to continue until around 20:00 while repairs are carried out.

Northern have arranged rail replacement transport and ticket acceptance on other modes of transport. For more information, click here.
