Special MBTA trains to run to Gillette Stadium for Patriots playoff game
The MBTA and Keolis Commuter Services have confirmed special rail services will run to Gillette Stadium today to support travel for the Patriots playoff game.
Two dedicated trains will operate from Boston, with an additional service running from Providence. Keolis, which manages operations and maintenance for the MBTA’s Commuter Rail network, said tickets are limited and are available exclusively through the mTicket app.
The first Boston-bound service will depart South Station at 12:40 PM, arriving at Foxboro at 1:40 PM. A second train will leave South Station at 12:50 PM and is scheduled to reach Foxboro at 1:50 PM. Both services will call at Back Bay Station and Dedham Corporate Center Station before continuing to Foxboro.
A third train will run from Providence, departing Providence Station at 12:00 PM. This service will stop at Pawtucket/Central Falls, Attleboro and Mansfield before arriving at Foxboro Station at 1:15 PM.
Return services have also been planned following the conclusion of the game. The first Boston train will depart Foxboro Station 30 minutes after the final whistle, while the second Boston service will leave once boarding is complete. The Providence-bound train is scheduled to depart 45 minutes after the game ends.
Passengers have been advised to head directly to Foxboro Station as soon as the game finishes to ensure they are able to board their return service.
