Train Fault Hits Services Between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport
A train fault between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport is causing disruption this evening, with fewer services able to run on some lines.
Passengers are being warned that trains may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes while the issue is dealt with.
The problem is affecting services between Manchester Piccadilly and Heaton Chapel in both directions, where fewer trains are currently able to operate.
Services running between Manchester Piccadilly and Alderley Edge / Crewe are affected by the disruption and will not call at Levenshulme or Heaton Chapel.
Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Buxton are not affected by the incident.
Disruption is expected to continue until 22:30.
