Transport for Wales is serving up some festive flavour this season with the return of its Christmas dining experience on selected rail services. Pork belly bites, a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a Christmas crumble are among the highlights making a comeback, giving passengers the chance to enjoy restaurant-style dishes as they travel.

The menu, prepared with locally sourced ingredients, is designed to bring a touch of seasonal indulgence to journeys across the network. Vegetarian dishes are also on offer, widening the appeal for travellers looking to enjoy a festive treat on board. Whether passengers are off to meet loved ones, heading for a Christmas shopping trip or simply soaking in views of the Welsh countryside, TfW says it hopes to make the experience something to savour.

Customers can opt for a two-course meal priced at £26.95 or upgrade to three courses for £29.95, with the option to add a 75cl bottle of house wine for an additional charge.

Piers Croft, On Board Director for Transport for Wales, said:
“Christmas can be a busy time of year and what better way of travelling and to get in the Festive Spirit than having a Christmas meal on board. It's the perfect way to relax, celebrate and arrive at your destination in style."

The seasonal menu runs until 24 December, and those looking to elevate their journey can use the Seatfrog app to upgrade tickets at a reduced rate.
