Violent brawl erupts at London Victoria Wetherspoons as ten men are arrested
Ten men were arrested late on Saturday night after a large fight erupted inside London Victoria station, prompting a police response at one of the capital’s busiest transport hubs.
British Transport Police were called to the station at around 11:20pm on January 3 following reports of a disturbance. The incident took place on the upper level of the station, close to the JD Wetherspoons pub, where a group of men became involved in a physical confrontation.
Video footage later circulated on social media shows punches being thrown as the fight unfolds, with shouting heard in the background. In the clip, several people appear to be knocked or pushed to the ground amid the chaos.
Station staff, along with a woman at the scene, can be seen attempting to intervene and break up the altercation as the disorder continues around them.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said:
“Officers attended and 10 men were arrested - eight on suspicion of affray, one on suspicion of common assault and affray and one on suspicion of attempted Section 18 GBH.
