Man sought following incident of inappropriately touching himself on District Line service

Officers investigating a sexual incident on the London Underground have released an image of a man they want to identify in connection with the inquiry.

The incident took place on a District Line service travelling eastbound on Wednesday 26 November. At around 8.20pm, a woman boarded a train at Barons Court and took a seat when a man approached and stood over her, leaving her feeling uncomfortable.

Police say the man later sat down close to the woman and began touching himself inappropriately over his clothing while looking at her. Both the woman and the man got off the train at Victoria.

British Transport Police believe the man shown in the released image may have information that could assist their investigation into what happened on board the train.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting the reference 700 of 26 November. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
