CCTV images issued in hunt for suspects in Eden Park train robbery
British Transport Police have released CCTV images of three men in connection with the robbery of a passenger on a train in south London.
The incident occurred at around 7.45pm on Friday 21 November on a service from Elmers End to Eden Park. Officers say three men boarded the train and sat next to and behind the victim. One of the men demanded the victim’s phone and for him to sign out of it, but multiple incorrect password entries meant the device was locked.
The three men forced the victim to get off the train at the next stop and waited with him until he could unlock the phone. Once outside Eden Park, the victim ran into a nearby restaurant for help, and the suspects left the scene.
Police believe the individuals pictured in the CCTV images may have information that could assist their investigation.
Anyone who recognises the men is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 673 of 21 November. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
