Police investigating a sexual assault on a Central Line service have released an image of a man they are seeking to identify as part of their enquiries.

The incident took place at around 6.30am on Monday 15 September at Stratford railway station. Officers say a man stood close to a woman on Platform 3 before following her onto a train travelling towards Liverpool Street.

While on board the train, the woman was sexually assaulted. British Transport Police have since been carrying out enquiries and believe the man shown in the released image may be able to assist with the investigation.

Officers are now appealing to the public for help in identifying him. Anyone who recognises the man, or has information that could support the investigation, is urged to get in touch.
