Man Charged Following Stabbing at Bognor Regis Railway Station

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court following a stabbing incident at Bognor Regis railway station on 25 November.

Jason McDonagh, born 2 January 2004 and of no fixed address, appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 26 November charged with causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.

British Transport Police were called to the station just before 8.30am yesterday following reports of a stabbing. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries that are no longer being treated as life-changing and has since been discharged.

McDonagh was arrested at the scene and taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
