Overnight Yellow Line maintenance planned on BART with minor delays expected

BART will be carrying out rail destressing work on the Yellow Line in Contra Costa County, requiring a temporary reduction from two tracks to one to ensure the safety of maintenance crews. The work is planned to take place overnight, starting at midnight and continuing until normal service resumes the following morning.

Riders should expect delays of around 20-25 minutes on the nights when the work is in progress. The maintenance will be conducted at multiple intervals, with the next scheduled work between North Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point stations from 8 to 10 January 2026.
