Police Appeal After Upskirting Incident on Train to Glasgow
Detectives are seeking the victim and any witnesses after an upskirting incident was reported on a train travelling into Glasgow Central.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 1.30pm and 2pm on Wednesday 10 December, aboard the 1.27pm service from Uddingston. Police say a man was observed filming up a woman’s skirt without her knowledge as the train arrived in Glasgow.
The behaviour was spotted in the vestibule area while passengers were standing and waiting to leave the train. A member of the public raised the alarm after witnessing what had happened.
British Transport Police are now urging the woman affected, as well as the passenger who initially reported the incident, to come forward to assist officers with their enquiries. Investigators are also keen to hear from anyone else who may have seen the incident or has relevant information.
Anyone who was involved or witnessed the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 341 of 10 December. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
