British Transport Police have launched an appeal for information after releasing CCTV images linked to the robbery of two teenagers on a train in south-east London.

The incident took place at around 6.30pm on Monday 29 December 2025 during a service travelling from Grove Park to Bromley North. Police say a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were approached by a man while on board the train.

Officers report that the man threatened the pair with a knife and demanded the boy hand over several personal items, including a designer coat, a hat, headphones and his wallet.

After taking the items, the man left the train at Bromley North station and ran out of the station area.

Detectives believe the man shown in the CCTV images could have information that may assist with establishing the full circumstances of what happened and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 462 of 29 December. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
